About the Summit

The National Volunteer Summit 2026 is a flagship national youth development and volunteerism initiative organized by the African Youth Network (AYN), Sierra Leone. It will take place on October 30–31, 2026 at the Miatta Conference Centre, Freetown.

The Summit is expected to attract thousands of applications from young people across all districts of Sierra Leone. Due to venue capacity and the need for meaningful engagement, approximately 500 delegates will be selected through a fair, merit-based selection process that considers motivation, experience, and regional, gender and disability inclusion.

The 500 selected delegates will have to pay a Commitment Fee of SLE 350 to secure their slot.

  • Keynotes, panels and career-development workshops
  • A volunteer marketplace with 100+ placements and opportunities
  • The launch of Sierra Leone's first National Volunteer Hub
