The Summit in Review Held 09 · 07 · 2026

On July 9th, 2026, the National Study Abroad Summit convened students, education professionals, government officials, and development partners at Miatta Civic Centre, Freetown, under the theme “Beyond Borders: Connecting Sierra Leone’s Brightest Minds to Global Education and Scholarship Opportunities.” Organized by Scholarly Path, the summit opened a national conversation on access to international education and scholarship pathways for Sierra Leonean youth.

The African Youth Network supported and contributed to the summit as a partner, consistent with its education, leadership, and youth-development mandate — helping connect young people to information, networks, and opportunities beyond national borders.
